Oklahoma Department of Transportation - Highway 51 Project

Trent January is the new Oklahoma Department of Transportation Division 4 Engineer. As division engineer, he oversees all construction and maintenance operations in Division Four, which is headquartered in Perry and encompasses Canadian, Garfield, Grant, Kay, Kingfisher, Logan, Noble, Oklahoma and Payne counties. The mission of the DHS Swift Adoption Services is to secure an adoptive family for every waiting child for whom adoption is the goal. Children can be assured a permanent adoptive family through early identification, assessment and child preparation; aggressive recruitment and preparation of prospective adoptive parents; the elimination of legal and other barriers to adoption; and the adequate provision of supportive services. The Mandela Washington Fellowship began in 2014 and is the flagship program for the Young African Leaders initiative. Each year up to 700 outstanding young leaders from Sub-Saharan Africa between the ages of 25 and 35 travel to the U.S. to hone their skills at a U.S. University for 6 weeks. Groups of approximately 25 fellows, typically a consortium from 15 to 20 different countries, spend time learning about business, civic engagement and public management. The initiative operates as an exchange program through the U.S. Department of the State and IREX (International Research & Exchanges Board), which functions as a global development & educational non-profit organization.
