Dr. Doug Aichele, Regents Professor Emeritus, OSU Department of Mathematics, raises Alaskan Huskies and is a race judge for the famous Alaska Iditarod sled dog race.  He will present on sled dog racing and the sled dogs themselves, and plans to bring one of his dogs to the meeting.

Bryan Larison, CEO of Lions Meadows of Hope (formerly known as Oklahoma Lions Boys Ranch) since 2007, will talk about their mission to unite brothers and sisters in foster care, surround them with a community of hope, and help them grow into caring and productive adults.

Joyce Jackson participated in Oklahoma City's 1958 Katz Drug Store sit-in with Clara Luper. She was the first Black female journalist on Oklahoma City television, at KOCO channel 5. In addition, she was a founder of the Black Media Association, she broke the story of the federal government closing Penn Square Bank, and she endured threats from people who wanted her off the air. When she left KOCO her career transitioned to the Department of Corrections.

Our own Meredith Woodruff served in the Central Intelligence Agency's Directorate of Operations, living and working for more than twenty-five years in Central Eurasia, the Near East, Africa, and Europe. She retired from the CIA in 2007 as its most senior female officer in operations. Meredith is going to share her perspective on world affairs.

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, which launched in 1995, is a book gifting program that mails free, high quality books to children from birth to age 5, regardless of family income. The program has gifted more than 150 million books. Matt Upson, associate dean for research and learning services at the OSU library, will talk about the program.

Luke Carillo, Payne County Operational Director for GRAND Mental Health, will talk about their mission to create a welcoming, supportive and positive environment, in which an array of effective and efficient trauma-informed, integrated services will promote an improved quality of life for consumers, communities and each other in Northeastern and Northcentral Oklahoma.
