David Morgan
Dick T. Morgan

Dick T. Morgan, a founding member of Stillwater First Christian Church, was an Oklahoma representative in the US Congress during the early days of statehood. During his congressional career, Morgan introduced and gave the first speech on the floor of Congress in support of legislation that became the Federal Trade Commission. In 1913, he proposed an amendment to the Federal Reserve bill that would have established a bank guaranty fund - twenty years before the FDIC was established in 1933 as part of the New Deal. David Morgan, will share his grandfather's story with us.
